
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Utilities and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.41% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index climbed 0.55%, and the TecDAX index added 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 4.93% or 12.20 points to trade at 259.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 3.53% or 0.91 points to end at 26.66 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) was up 2.92% or 10.10 points to 355.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which fell 1.78% or 0.69 points to trade at 38.06 at the close. BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN) declined 1.41% or 0.65 points to end at 45.70 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) was down 1.32% or 0.13 points to 9.51.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which rose 3.84% to 36.54, Rational AG (ETR:RAAG) which was up 3.48% to settle at 655.00 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 3.33% to close at 29.82.
The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which was down 3.12% to 32.95 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which lost 2.69% to settle at 9.61 and Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 2.26% to 34.66 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 8.04% to 27.94, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 3.33% to settle at 29.82 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which gained 2.92% to close at 355.50.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 2.69% to 9.61 in late trade, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which lost 2.25% to settle at 37.74 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was down 1.78% to 38.06 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 366 to 277 and 102 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.29% to 12.71 a new 3-years low.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.05% or 0.95 to $1,969.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.78% or 0.55 to hit $71.17 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.58% or 0.44 to trade at $76.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.89.
