Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.09%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food&Beverages, Industrials and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Retail and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.09%, while the MDAX index declined 0.17%, and the TecDAX index lost 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG), which rose 3.55% or 4.36 points to trade at 127.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p) added 1.11% or 1.00 points to end at 91.34 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:CONG) was up 0.79% or 0.50 points to 64.18 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn), which fell 3.38% or 2.42 points to trade at 69.08 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) declined 2.37% or 6.40 points to end at 263.40 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn) was down 1.40% or 2.25 points to 158.05.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which rose 2.93% to 64.02, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was up 2.87% to settle at 66.20 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which gained 2.25% to close at 59.04.

The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 4.30% to 26.27 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which lost 3.45% to settle at 9.91 and Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:FPE3_p) which was down 2.80% to 35.40 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 4.91% to 26.08, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which was up 3.63% to settle at 37.69 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which gained 2.93% to close at 64.02.

The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 3.45% to 9.91 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which lost 2.37% to settle at 263.40 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 1.56% to 29.02 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 326 to 311 and 97 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.37% or 6.40 to 263.40. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.30% or 1.18 to 26.27. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.37% or 6.40 to 263.40.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.48% to 18.80.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 2.85 to $1,937.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.21% or 0.18 to hit $85.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.17 to trade at $89.48 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 105.99.
