
Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food&Beverages, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher while losses in the Retail, Consumer&Cyclical and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.11%, while the MDAX index fell 1.01%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:BMWG), which rose 1.09% or 1.09 points to trade at 100.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) added 0.94% or 0.10 points to end at 10.77 and Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) was up 0.85% or 0.33 points to 39.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which fell 7.38% or 1.69 points to trade at 21.21 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 5.29% or 10.28 points to end at 184.14 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n) was down 1.01% or 0.12 points to 11.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) which rose 2.05% to 22.92, Krones AG O.N. (ETR:KRNG) which was up 0.54% to settle at 111.00 and Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which gained 0.48% to close at 62.85.
The worst performers were Vitesco Technologies Group AG (ETR:VTSCn) which was down 9.17% to 79.70 in late trade, Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which lost 7.18% to settle at 49.90 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 6.78% to 23.93 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 5.73% to 32.50, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was up 2.64% to settle at 6.53 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which gained 2.09% to close at 29.37.
The worst performers were Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which was down 3.00% to 210.00 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which lost 2.91% to settle at 86.90 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 1.52% to 77.54 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.05% or 0.46 to 22.92.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.21% to 13.25.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.05% or 0.95 to $2,070.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.24% or 2.38 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 3.11% or 2.45 to trade at $81.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 101.23.
