
Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food&Beverages, Retail and Software sectors led shares higher while losses in the Telecoms, Construction and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.31%, while the MDAX index gained 0.03%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 1.54% or 0.36 points to trade at 23.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) added 1.07% or 1.75 points to end at 165.80 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:SIEGn) was up 0.91% or 1.38 points to 153.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn), which fell 2.76% or 0.60 points to trade at 21.14 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) declined 2.51% or 1.01 points to end at 39.30 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was down 1.87% or 0.63 points to 33.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which rose 8.27% to 73.30, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 5.31% to settle at 37.50 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which gained 2.89% to close at 70.44.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 4.43% to 8.02 in late trade, Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:PSMGn) which lost 3.69% to settle at 8.04 and Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was down 3.53% to 34.73 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which rose 8.27% to 73.30, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was up 4.47% to settle at 24.06 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which gained 2.89% to close at 70.44.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 4.43% to 8.02 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) which lost 2.76% to settle at 21.14 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 2.27% to 79.50 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 400 to 248 and 99 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.27% or 1.85 to 79.50.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.59% to 19.35.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.03% or 20.20 to $1,944.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.67% or 2.73 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 3.31% or 2.59 to trade at $75.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.17.
