Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.14%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.14%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE), which rose 4.21% or 3,090.00 points to trade at 76,410.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 2.14% or 870.00 points to end at 41,480.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 1.88% or 47.00 points to 2,547.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 1.91% or 2,950.00 points to trade at 151,400.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.81% or 38.00 points to end at 2,067.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 1.81% or 250.00 points to 13,590.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 249 to 219 and 34 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.81% or 250.00 to 13,590.00.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.57% or 1.74 to $69.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.25% or 1.63 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 2.65 to trade at $1,921.15 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.31% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.07% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 102.57.
