
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Oil&Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 2.06% or 87.00 points to trade at 4,301.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) added 1.51% or 48.00 points to end at 3,220.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 1.18% or 21.00 points to 1,806.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 3.63% or 980.00 points to trade at 26,000.00 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) declined 2.86% or 73.00 points to end at 2,482.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was down 2.68% or 60.00 points to 2,175.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 265 to 210 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.06% or 87.00 to 4,301.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 3.17% or 2.26 to $73.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.75% or 2.11 to hit $78.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 6.50 to trade at $2,034.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.74, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.05% to 4.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 102.38.
