
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.64% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 2.09% or 620.00 points to trade at 30,320.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) added 1.82% or 210.00 points to end at 11,730.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 1.00% or 26.00 points to 2,639.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which fell 3.00% or 56.00 points to trade at 1,813.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.81% or 11.50 points to end at 397.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 2.65% or 4,960.00 points to 182,500.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 309 to 161 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.81% or 11.50 to 397.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.05% or 0.79 to $74.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.70% or 1.36 to hit $78.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 31.35 to trade at $1,829.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.47, while EUR/ILS rose 0.60% to 3.69.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 103.62.
