Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.00%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.00%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT), which rose 2.22% or 35.00 points to trade at 1,611.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 1.97% or 470.00 points to end at 24,270.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was up 1.77% or 50.00 points to 2,869.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which fell 3.29% or 1,020.00 points to trade at 30,030.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 3.18% or 56.00 points to end at 1,706.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was down 2.70% or 2,060.00 points to 74,340.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 262 to 185 and 92 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.26% or 1.85 to $80.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.10% or 1.81 to hit $84.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 9.15 to trade at $2,312.05 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.77% to 3.76, while EUR/ILS rose 0.94% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.09.
