Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.05%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.05%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 3.09% or 380.00 points to trade at 12,690.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.10% or 500.00 points to end at 24,360.00 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 1.00% or 980.00 points to 98,640.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT), which fell 3.20% or 56.00 points to trade at 1,693.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 3.03% or 161.00 points to end at 5,153.00 and Shikun&Binui (TASE:SKBN) was down 2.48% or 22.20 points to 871.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 295 to 159 and 85 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.82% or 0.71 to $85.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.58% or 0.52 to hit $89.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 19.90 to trade at $2,370.90 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.31% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.02% to 4.02.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.88.
