Charges

WHAT ARE THE FEES AND CHARGES ASSOCIATED WITH TRADING WITH ONE FINANCIAL MARKETS?

Commission

We do not charge commission on standard accounts.

Financing fees (swaps)

We charge financing fees (otherwise called ‘holding fees’ or ‘swaps’) for positions held overnight. The financing fee may be positive or negative depending on the instrument and direction of your position and will be included in your floating p&l at the end of each day from Monday to Friday.

The swap amounts will be reflected in your balance when you close your position. In the event you partially close a position, a partial amount will be displayed.

Please see below for more information about how financing fees are calculated.

Corporate actions

Dividend adjustments apply to net positions in indices only and may be positive or negative depending on the direction of your position. They are applied to your account on the day after the ex-dividend date.

Please see below for more information about how dividends are calculated.

Dormant account fee

An annual dormant account fee of $25 (or £20/€20 as applicable) will be deducted from your account in the event there are no open positions and there has been no activity (notwithstanding any payments or receipts or charges, interest or similar items) for a period of 12 months or more. The fee will be removed on an annual basis until either the account is closed by you, you resume trading or the balance of the account is reduced to zero. Once the balance of a dormant account has reduced to zero we will close the account. A dormant account will not go into overdraft as a result of the removal of the fee.

Withholding Tax on US Shares

Please note US Shares require a 30% withholding tax to be applied.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A ‘NON-INTEREST' ACCOUNT?

Yes, we are one of the few firms who are able to offer accounts where no interest (financing) is charged. This is subject to status and certain terms and conditions.

HOW ARE FINANCING FEES CALCULATED?

We calculate our financing charges on the last day of every month using the applicable exchange rates or instrument price and our rate adjustment of LIBOR + 1%.

The financing fee charge is calculated as follows:

Volume in lots x financing fee x minimum price increment

If you have any further questions, please contact the dealing desk at dealers@ofmarkets.com

HOW ARE CORPORATE ACTIONS CALCULATED?

If you are long then your account will be credited and for short positions your account will be debited.

The dividend is calculated as follows:

No of CFDs x gross points

Please note, some exchanges require a withholding tax to be applied to dividend pay-outs. These will be passed on to you, details below:
