One | MT4

The MT4 terminal has a built in protection system that prevents recompilation of the software.

Some antivirus applications think that this is a virus but it is not.

You should add “terminal.exe” to your antivirus white list or exception list, to avoid deletion.

This is a known MT4 error and not exclusive to One Financial Markets. It is currently being investigated by MetaQuotes.

The message 'Common Error' can be displayed to show a number of errors. Most frequently it is displayed when your internet connectivity is slow or is being interrupted by something such as antivirus software or other users sharing your internet connection.

• Try temporarily disabling your antivirus or internet security.
• If you have another computer, try it on there to rule out a PC issue.
• If you have access to another internet connection, try that.

If you still can’t solve the issue please contact itsupport@ofmarkets.com providing as much information as you can.

The login credentials (username and/or password) you are using are incorrect.

In the first instance we would recommend  trying again, copying and pasting from your Welcome Email. If you are still having problems please contact info@ofmarkets.com who can check your account password. Please make sure you e-mail them from your registered e-mail address and provide them with your account number and password.

To perform a fresh install of your MT4 platform please follow the below instructions:

1. Click on Start.
2. Click on All Programs.
3. Click on MetaTrader – One Financial.
4. Click on uninstall.
5. Follow the on screen instructions.

Once uninstall has finished please follow the next set of instructions:

1. Click on “My Computer”.
2. Click on Drive C or the root drive where your operating system is installed.
3. Click on Program Files.
4. Locate the folder ‘MetaTrader – One Financial’ and delete it.
5. Restart your computer

Once you have restarted your computer you can commence the re-installation. Please use the link that you were sent in your welcome email.

MT4 can only be used on Windows Computers. The following operating systems are supported: 98SE/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7/2008

When this error message is displayed it means that you’re either not logged in, or the chart you are trying to access does not appear in the symbol list.

Within the ‘Market Watch’ window of your MT4 platform located to the left hand side of the platform. Right click on any product and click ‘Show All’.

To perform a fresh install of your MT4 platform please follow the below instructions:

1. Click on 'download link' in your Welcome Email
2. A popup will ask to ‘Run’ or ‘Save’ file, select ‘Run’
3. Follow the on screen instructions
4. Select 'Next' if you agree to the License Agreement
5. Change Installation folder if you require but we recommend to leave as ‘Default’, select ‘Next’
6. Once Installation is complete, select ‘Finish’
7. Click on the ‘MetaTrader - One Financial’ icon on your desktop to Launch MT4
